At Benefit Management Strategies, L.L.C., we work for you, not the carriers. Your best interest is our #1 concern. We feel that we partner with our clients, not just work for them. We want to help you grow your business, while attracting and retaining employees. We also want to have an open and honest relationship so we can share information with each other.We do not believe in hiding any part of our business, and our fees are no exception.
Ancillary Coverages
Most of your ancillary lines will have a standard commission scale built into the product whether or not you have a broker/consultant. We work on a commission basis on those lines of coverage (Dental, Life, Long Term Disability, etc.). The usual commission on most of these products is 10%-15%. The rates from the insurance company have to be filed with the Department of Insurance and usually include commission. If by some chance yours do not, in negotiating your coverages we would be able to lower your rate while still including our fees so you still end up with a lower overall rate.
Medical Coverage
Our belief is that our fees and/or commission should be agreed upon with each client depending on the amount of work we will be doing. There are no hidden payments and we have a full disclosure policy.
Partnering Company Fees
Each partnering company that works with BMS has their own fee structure. Even though we may introduce you to them, there would never be a charge by them unless you authorize work to be done directly by them and sign a fee agreement with them. There is also a discount off of their rates by going through us.
